[PATCH] fix plugin arguments corruption

VDR uses the construct "strcpy(s, s + 1)" in plugin arguments processing for stripping first character of s. However, as per strcpy man page, the source and destination strings may not overlap. There are a couple of ways to fix them, but the attached patch simply changes them to "memmove(s, s + 1, strlen(s))". The patch applies both to 1.7.10 and 1.6.0. This fixes plugin arguments corruption with glibc 2.11 on x86_64. -- Anssi Hannula

e-tobi/Debian runvdr patch for USB modules

Hi, Here is a patch that loads/unloads USB modules in the runvdr script found in e-tobi and probably Debian packages. It works since 1 month here, with the Nova-TD-500 PCI card (with onboard USB), which uses dvb_usb and dvb_usb_dib0700. Happy new year to everyone ;-) -- NH

Hello, I am using vdr 1.6 on a production machine with a FF card with a lot of satisfaction. I am already trying for several months (years ?) to get an another system working with 2 budget HD cards, and 2 clients. The first client is on the same machine (P4, 3.2 Ghz), the 2nd is a HP thinclient. On both i run vdpau. Hello, Now that I have an hd tv set, I'm looking at revamping my ageing vdr system for hd. Oh, and I want it to be really cheap ;-) It seems that the only reasonable option is a motherboard/graphic card supported by nvidia vdpau. I need a parallel port and a pci slot (I want to use my current dvb-s card), so the revo and similar nettops are out. Hi all! I have had problems in getting screen captures from VDR (VDR 1.6.0_p2-r3 on Gentoo) with with for example: svdrpsend.pl grab file.jpg and Wapd, Vdr-live etc etc. I have "-g /tmp" set when starting VDR.. FRC + HDMI with Radeon 9200 SE

I have tried to get FRC + HDMI working with my Radeon 9200 SE Without success... :) I have installed all those patches like instructed on http://vga2scart.gw90.de/install/ Using Debian Lenny. I have understod that I don´t need patch kernel with fb-drm-radeon-intel.patch if I´m using HDMI only? Is this correct? I haven´t been able to get any kind of picture from DVI connector. I need complete xorg.conf which gives me 720x576i or 1440x576i from DVI connector of 9200 SE.
