analogtv plugin with HVR-1800

As anyone tried using the analogtv plugin with an HVR-1800 on vdr-1.7.12? And does it interfere with the atsc plugin since both would be using the same tuner? I've been told that analog mode does work with this card with tvtime, so I was thinking of giving it a try. The card is supposed to be able to tune both atsc and ntsc, plus it has video/audio inputs.

Strange behavior when replaying audio-only recordings with xine / vdpau

I am using VDR 1.7.11 with xine / vdpau as output device. Replaying an audio only recording (e.g. from a radio channel) or an MP3 file (with mp3 plugin) leads to two strange things: 1.) The progress bar is always several seconds ahead - at the beginning of the recording it jumps instantly to ~20sec 2.) When pressing "exit" during playback the sound itself stops immediately but VDR hangs up to one minute before leaving the replay. I have no idea what the reason for this could be - does anybody of you have the same issue? -- Best Regards, Joachim.

Congratulations Kalus and all Develepers, I use VDR now over 3 years after I dumped Windows XP. For me VDR brings English Tv in HD to my German sitting room. Please, hold this good work straight. phil

xineliboutput: Problem resuming playback after jumping to a cutting mark

Hello Folks, Sorry for raising a new xineliboutput issue. The Problem: Start vdr-1.7.12, xineliboutput from cvs and vdr-sxfe as frontend. 1. start to watch a recording (done with vdr-1.7.12 ts-format) 2. press 0 to set a cuttingmark 3. let the recording run for a while and press 7 to jump to the previously added mark. 4. Vdr jumps to the mark and pauses the playback 5. hitk play to resume playback Result: The playback can't be resume. Restarting the frontend after pressing play start playback. Any Ideas what's wrong there? BR. Halim

H264 syncearly patch

I am in the process of moving from 1.6.0 to 1.7.12 to test the pvrinput plug with a Hauppauge-PVR-HD. With 1.6.0 and the h264-syncearly patch I got a nice picture but no audio.. With 1.7.12 I can get audio but no picture. I thought h264 support was built in already to 1.7.12, but I maybe wrong. If not, where can I find an up to date patch for this? The old 1.7.0-h264-syncearly patch doesn't seem to work cleanly..

Temporary VDR Support for Freevo (and pvr-hd support)..

This has probably been done before but... I normally use VDR for receiving ATSC and NTSC broadcasts as I can stream it around the house and use a Hauppauge MVP box in different rooms. However, I just got a nice Hauppauge PVR-HD which isn't (yet) supported by VDR. So I hacked a freevo a little to get it using VDR and the PVR-HD.. I did this initially about 4 years ago, but then ended up using VDR instead of Freevo. Anyway, this uses two seperate input mechanisms, so I copied an idea I found on the internet to allow a "pvr_cmd" into the video_groups structure. (For recording DVR recordings or On Demand things), the second will select channel 103 on VDR to watch, the third will change to channel 919 on my cable box and watch it using the hauppauge pvr-hd (Just watches /dev/video0).. I had to modify generic_record.py as it would send the channel number as a string instead of an integer when working out which group to select and not get the correct group. Then several changes have been made to mplayer.py in TV, which streams from VDR. The channel request is sent with a +1 at the end to select the first audio channel.. (The second can sometimes be spanish here).. Then I changed config.py and generic_record.py to allow the vcr_cmd based on Video_Group. Recordings are native .ts streams, either from the hauppauge (h264,ac3 audio) or the TS from VDR. Hope this helps someone (it goes with Freevo 1.9.0) I get better HD playback with mplayer and vdpau than with vdr-sxfe and xbmc isn't quite there yet..

DW-TV Hotbird Reception

Hi! I got a problem with reception of DW-TV on Hotbird. DW-TV EUROPA;Deutsche Welle:11604:h:S13.0E:27500:1000:1001,1002:1003:0:607:318:15500:0 If I switch first time to this channel, I get a picture for short time then vdr retunes to the channel and after that vdr thinks the channel is encrypted because one of the audiostreams seems to be encrypted. I'm using vdr 1.3.25 and can't use any newer version, as i'm forced to use kernel 2.4 on this version. Can anybody tell me how to this. No Audio on ATSC Qam256 or OTA..

I've just moved to the US from Europe and trying to get my head around ATSC. I have a Hauppauge HVR950q which works in Windoze and Linux (With Kaffeine) and almost with VDR (my preferred platform). I have it normally connected to Comcast cable which should pipe through a bunch of FTV channels using QAM256. These I can see and hear in kaffeine with AC97 audio. However, in VDR it appears to change the pids automatically so that the audio stops working. If I manually change VDR to not auto update and put the APID in then it squeeks rather than works. However, streaming to mplayer using streamdev seems to work. (It does the same this with OTA channels too - although I can only get 4 with a portable antenna.) I am using Ubuntu's VDR source 1.6.0 something or other, but patched with the ATSC patch. I had a really hard time trying to work out the channels.conf file, and in the end settled for something like: WIFR-Wx�;(null):495000:M256:C:0:1984:0:0:0:2:0:0:0 WQRF-DT�;(null):495000:M256:C:0:2048:0:0:0:3:0:0:0 WIFR-HD�;(null):495000:M256:C:0:2112:0:0:0:1:0:0:0 This is after VDR has eaten the audio pid away. Normally this is one number higher than the vpid. So for WIFR 1985, WQRF 2049 etc. I'm willing to believe I've cocked it up as nothing I had would automatically scan the QAM channels. In the end I used scan and it added "VDR Doesn't support ATSC yet" instead of M256:C:0. Thanks guys... Fairly soon my shipping will arrive from Italy with my main server, sat cards and Hauppauge MVP's to stick around the house. I wonder what could possibly go wrong?

vdr-sxfe segfaults when listening to radiochannles (vdr-1.7.9/1.7.12)

Hi, I wasn't able to get vdr-xineliboutput and sxfe working on my machine here. I have tested xinelib-1.1.17 xine-vdpau and xinelib-1.2. When I switch to a radio channels like german swr3 on astra the frontend crashs or doesn't get data from the xinelibouztput plugin. In the later case the plugin needs to be restarted. It tried to make a backtrace for the segfault but don't know if the printed stuff is useful. #0 0x00000001 in ?? Thanks for the link, now I've finally got the correct version:).
