Garbage time and date

I have set my VDR to update the system clock and this has been working well for many years now. However I recently had a problem with my DVB-T antenna system causing bad reception and it really screwed up the system clock, ocasionally changing to the wrong date and time. I verified this by looking at the system log. I thought DVB packets were checked for integrity with a checksum. How could this happen? Could it be that the shear volume of corrupted packets means that a simple checksum is not robust enough? Thanks

vdr 1.7.21 and no audio, video or epg

Hi, I restartet my gentoo vdr machine after some weeks and now I don't have a video or audio, just the OSD. I also get no epg data, the machine is running for some hours, but no epg at all. Femon tells me, that I got a signal and a lock. Playback of old recodings works fine. Some specs: vdr 1.7.21 kernel 2.6.39-gentoo-r3 TechnoTrend Premium S2-6400 SAA716x FF firmware version 0.3.4 dvbhddevice 0.0.4 Debug log is activated but I don't see any error or warnings! dmesg is also clean ... Does anyone have and idea, because I am lost in space ... ;) Best regards, Magnus

Hi, I am very interested in that, because I subscribe to a "S F R" TVBOX service that provided a (netgem) receiver very slow and does not allow the recording and backup to another media like a usb key... Recently I tested the TV channels using vdr-1.7.21 with iptv-0.4.2 without "disable_ca_updates" and "disable_eitscan" patches and it works perfectly but only with FTA channels. I saw also that updates pids automatically from udp multicast ip address. Quality issues

I am having problems with the image in vdr-sxfe, and initially I thought it was an issue with the settings relayting to video, but now I feel more confident that the root cause is in the DVB stream - which means it might be slightly off topic for this list if that is the case. What I see from time to time (every ~5 minutes) is that an old image (from a few seconds ago) is suddenly displayed and then 'fades' away. Just how much corruption I get varies with vide osettings, but I can never get rid of it. Then I figured I'd do a recoding and replay a sequence which on live TV caused the corruption. And the corruption is repeatable whenever I pass that point in the recording. Now it seems more like an issue of how the video decorder handles errors in the stream, but I would still like som help. Either in figuring out what causes the errors or dimish the impact on the picture. At https://tyldum.com/vdr/00001.ts you can find a sample stream, and I get the corruption at 0:33-ish. Source is DVB-C, using mantis-based tuner. femon reports 92% STR, 96% SNR and sometimes I see 1 in the BER counter. VDR version 1.7.17, packaged for yaVDR.
