[PATCH]streamdev compile problem

With enclosed patch I finally managed to compile streamdev-CVS of 20050922 with gcc version 4.0.1 20050727 (Red Hat 4.0.1-5) and vdr-1.3.32 I'm running Fedora Core 4 with 2.6.13.1 on an EPIA M10000 /Mel

I'm trying to get HDTV to work with VDR. What I know so far is that a FF- cards mpeg decoder is not able to handle the bitrate. The FF-card is a Nexus-S with CI+CAM ( Conax + subscription card, Canal Digital Sweden ) I'm planning to use a machine with DVI output (X,fb,DirectFB or similar) and display on a HD-ready 40" LCD, streamed from my main VDR. Can this be made today? Please report success stories. What is the hard/software needed to watch HDTV with VDR or what else is wrong with this picture?

xine- and mplayer-plugin

Hi, I am using vdr-xine-0.7.4 as output plugin and would like to use the mplayer plugin (mp3-0.8.3) in addition. I use the following mplayer.sh: #!/bin/bash CMDLINE="/usr/bin/mplayer -fs -vo xv -ao oss -cache 4096 -slave -nolirc -quiet" DISPLAY=:0.0 $CMDLINE "$1" 2>&1 |logger exit invoced from the commandline the script works well (if xine is not running), but not when called from vdr: a 'no signal' screen for a while, and then the tv-channel shows up again. Femon-0.9.3 causing freeze when AC3 is disabled

I just noticed that if I *disable* AC3 in VDR and then tune to a channel that contains an AC3 pid, Femon will cause VDR to freeze after I view the Femon stats. The picture remains frozen until the channel is changed. If AC3 is enabled in VDR and I tune to a channel with an AC3 pid, then VDR does not freeze after viewing the femon statistics. Can anyone else verify this? Best Regards,

[PATCH] export ExchangeChars(..) from recording.c

Hi, I'd like to propose a tiny patch that won't hurt (I think), which makes the ExchangeChars(...) function available outside recording.c. I have worked on a patch in the vdr-burn-0.0.6h plugin where I'd need this function for generating the name of the folder where an authored DVD structure would be moved for subsequent "manual" burning outside of VDR. [OT] AV sync issues / Mplayer / Latest FW

Hello, Though i'm currently using VDR 1.3.32 / 2.6.13.2 / latest dvb-kernel cvs, i can reproduce the problem using only mplayer , so sorry for the lack of directly related VDR issues :) The problem is that if i use the firmware found here : http://www.suse.de/~werner/test_av.tar.bz2, i have massive audio/video sync issues. When playing a divx (actually xvid/mp3) with mplayer -vo mpegpes, then video and audio will get out of sync very quickly. In a matter of 10 to 15 seconds, AV will get 1sec out of sync, making the divx impossible to be watched. If i used the FW found in latest dvb-kernel CVS, then it plays right fine, no AV sync issue. Please note that this is on a full featured DVB-S ( TT Rev 1.3), with no AC3 involved at all (TV out + audio out of the DVB-S is used with a SCART to the TV) Maybe i'm not trying the latest FW from Werner, so if it's not, thx to point me the the right URL Thanks, Philippe

[bug] vdr-burn-0.0.6h - badly mixed up multiple recordings when requanting

Hi, I managed to setup vdr-burn-0.0.6h and am actually very pleased of the comfort it offers compared to manually demux/cut recordings with ProjectX and then also manually (even with GUI programs) author them on DVD. However, I'm encountering a strange problem when trying to generate a DVD consisting of 2 recordings which need requanting: It ends up with the second movie muxed instead of the first one, so the DVD contains a menu with 2 different entries and descriptions and movie titles, but the actual movie is the same. See a dvd.log in which I only left the relevant stuff at: http://www.muresan.de/vdr-burn/burn-0.0.6h_dvd.log.1.txt It seems to me that even the REQUANT step uses the correct paths and tracks, but right after that, the MPLEX step muxes the tracks from the .../VDRSYNC.0/ directory into .../VDRSYNC.1/movie.mpg (it should have taken the tracks also from /VDRSYNC.1/, don't know why 1 before 0, but anyway, that shouldn't have mattered), and the next MPLEX muxes again (but this time correctly) the tracks from .../VDRSYNC.0/ into .../VDRSYNC.0/movie.mpg, so the 2 "movie.mpg" are absolutely identical. I also made a test DVD structure with very small recordings, so they didn't need the REQUANT step, the result is as expected, and the log also looks OK. http://www.muresan.de/vdr-burn/burn-0.0.6h_dvd.log.2.txt Anyone seen that before? xxv and autotimers

Hi all, I have finally got xxv to work which is a great web interface to vdr configuration. I have been using AutoTimers and a couple of things are bothering me. My EPG data has full information about the nearest 2-4 hours and partial information (only time and title) about the coming 4-6 days. If I create an AutoTimer that finds a program shown 2 days from now the description of that program usually is #~AT[1]. When the recording is done all EPG data is available but vdr still records it with description #~AT[1]. Is this the normal behaviour or have I overlooked something in the config? Looking for audiocd-plugin

Hi All, I am looking for an audiocd-plugin. I had a look in the vdr wiki, unfortunately, the Audiocd-plugin home page doesnt exist anymore, and no link for cdda from the plugin list page. I am not interested in mp3/mplayer plugin as I am using Muggle and very pleased with it. Is there any audiocd plugin, with cddb query ? Thanks and regards, Eric.
