old recordings are not deleted

Hi All, I have installed VDR. It runs great, but it has one problem. It does not delete my old recordings. I have a lot of recordings, and they all have a lifetime of 0. Oct 21 20:42:04 localhost vdr: [31323] ...no old recording found, giving up Why doesn't vdr delete the above recording with a lifetime of 0? How to change OSD Channel-Name widht

Hi, I'l like to change the column-width on Channel-name in "What's on Now" menu. in menu.c there's a "Settabs" but changing do not affect the real Channel-Name widht

Blocking svdrp with epgsearch-1.0.0

Hi, when running vdr with the epgsearch-1.0.0-plugin, i wasn't able to add epgdata via the pute-svdrp-command anymore. The svdrp-client seems to "hang". With version epgsearch-0.9.25.beta17 there wasn't any problem. I can provide logs if someone tells me how. Regards, Rainer

Hi I have just installed vdrnfofs 0.8 and it works well. The vdrnfofs mount is served by miniDLNA and I have played back .ts recordings using WMP as a DLNA client. I could not play back .vdr files but I dont think this is a problem with vdrnfofs. Thanks

xineliboutput suspend + OSD HUD on SandyBridge

Hi, I have a new VDR+ server system, based on SandyBridge i3 CPU. This server is located under the TV set, thus mixes the server (always-on headless) + client (HD display) roles (previous setup was a Via EK8000 server + Via ML10000 client which ended up on the same shelf + another still-used client). I have two issues with this setup : 1) I don't know the best way to suspend the output of xineliboutput (vdr-sxfe loaded within nodm which auto-reloads it upon crash) : the xineliboutput README refers to the suspendoutput plugin (http://phivdr.dyndns.org/vdr/vdr-suspendoutput/) which last release is dated 12-Feb-2009. Since I use the e-tobi repository (marvellous, many thanks Tobias), which does not include it, I wonder if there is a better way to suspend the video decoding output. 2) the HUD OSD display works with --hud=xshape, but each OSD refresh (changing time, recording location) removes the previous OSD, replacing it with only the changed portion. --hud=opengl crashes vdr-sxfe because OpenGL is probably not quite ready with SandyBridge. OSD without HUD works, but is obviously ugly on the 1920x1080 display. I pulled xineliboutput 1.0.7+cvs20110918.1632-1 from e-tobi : maybe this CVS version is right in the middle of some change ? [PATCH] add dummy osd to vdr plugin dummydevice

Hi Petri, hello list, https://github.com/flensrocker/vdr-plugin-dummydevice/tarball/v-osd0 I added a dummy osd to the dummydevice to avoid messages from vdr like "ERROR: no OSD provider available - using dummy OSD!" Pausing live video with xineliboutput

Hi, Most of my vdr/xineliboutput/vdr-sxfe setup works well, except for pausing live tv. When the pause button is pressed there is quite a long pause before the video and audio are stopped - 5 seconds is typical. Once paused, pressing Play does nothing, and eventually it looks like vdr-sxfe restarts itself and writes messages like this: Connection to server lost. Reconnecting after two seconds... Reconnecting... xine: found input plugin : VDR (Video Disk Recorder) input plugin xine: input plugin cannot open MRL [xvdr://192.168.2.33#nocache] xine: cannot find input plugin for MRL [xvdr://192.168.2.33#nocache] Error opening xvdr://192.168.2.33 Connection to server lost. Reconnecting after two seconds... Reconnecting... xine: found input plugin : VDR (Video Disk Recorder) input plugin xine: input plugin cannot open MRL [xvdr://192.168.2.33#nocache] xine: cannot find input plugin for MRL [xvdr://192.168.2.33#nocache] Error opening xvdr://192.168.2.33 Connection to server lost. Reconnecting after two seconds... and eventually goes back to showing the current live broadcast, not resuming from where it was paused, or it will crash writing this: xv_set_property: property=0, value=0 input cache plugin disabled xine: found demuxer plugin: XVDR demux plugin abort: audio_alsa_out.c:852: ao_alsa_write: Aborting. vdr itself seems to be running fine - the live recording is started and continues to record regardless of the vdr-sxfe client. What are recommended versions for a dxr3 setup ?

I got a dvb card, installed it in my vdr box and it didn't work. So I decided to compile the driver, but alas, I had accidentially deleted the kernel compile tree. So it seems it's time to upgrade everyting: kernel, vdr, dxr3 driver and dxr3plugin. But what are the recommended versions at the moment? What is the latest kernel that dxr3 driver works on? And where should get the dxr3 driver from? Is the vdr-dxr3-0.2.12 in vdr-developer.org the latest and greatest version of the plugin or should I pull from git or hg somewhere?
