patch avoid that vdr ignore settings from umask

Hi, I offer a small patch for vdr-1.3.27, (testet with 1.3.22) so that all created files and directorys (*.rec,001.vdr,...) no longer use fixed minimal permissions, without any chance to adjust this through settings from umask. On most systems are follow default setting "umask 022". Budget and CA

Hi list! C+ are now starting up a new channel with films in HDTV format named C MORE HD on their Scandinavian feed from Thor. I'm interested in trying to record and later have a look at this. I've understand (and seen) that the FF cards are unable to handle the feed itself and I therefore need to get a budget card. Now to the Q: Can the budget card use the CA inserted in the FF card in order to decrypt the stream? BR /t

Hi! I'm trying to compile the vdr-dxr3-0-2 from cvs with gcc 3.4.4 on a Gentoo system. text2skin: problem with cText2SkinDisplayMenu::SetItem

Hi, Normally vdr will use that function (cText2SkinDisplayMenu::SetItem) to set lines sequentially from 0 to the last one. Instead of that I'm doing something like: displayMenu->Clear(); displayMenu->SetItem(line3,3,false,false); displayMenu->SetItem(line4,4,false,false); displayMenu->SetItem(line5,5,false,false); (i.e, I want to keep the 3 top lines free to fill later on) This works fine with vdr standard skins, but with text2skin if I do the above line3 will show on line 0, … [View More]

Recordings by genre?

hello list, it would be very nice if i could assign a "genre" to my recordings i.e. thriller, drama, krimi etc. the record should be made in a subdirectory with the same name Does it make sense to implement such a feature in one of the next releases? uwe PS: i know that i can make subdirectories by hand (~), but this way it would be much easier :)
