Mplayer and mp4 files

Hi all, after i updated Mplayer and FFMPEG i can't hear the audio of video files downloaded from YouTube using webvideo. I can see the video but the audio is not present. Hello, I upgraded VDR from 1.6.0 to 1.7.7 (including DVB drivers). The VDR is running and working correctly as I can say this after 30 minutes of testing. Hi, is dvb-h a subset of dvb-t? our country decided to switch on dvb-t, we receive dvb-t and dvb-h with h.264. w_scan doesn't produce a channels.conf for what appears to be dvb-h Any hints?

need help with Remote Control Plugin 0.4.0

Hi, I'm unable to navigate throw the OSD using keyboard in telnet mode. "svdrpsend.pl hitk ..." command display the OSD in the telnet window. I using vdr 1.7.4 and remote-0.4.0 with this option -P'remote -p tcp:3333' Any hints? Thanks, Best regards béranger

hi, I decided to upgrade after about two years with an old, stable(ish) version. I installed vdr-1.7.7, yaepghd patch, and osdteletext. For some reason, I don't seem to get any data to the teletext pages. The /vtx directory also stays empty. Any ideas on how to debug or what to do? I did not find any patches for osdteletext and the new vdr-versions. yours, Jouni

Can I disable pause live tv altogher?

Well, keeping the remote control away from my kids is not easy unless I han g it from the ceiling. Is there some way I can disable live tv pausing all together? It is causing a lot of trouble and I don´t reallly need that feature...

There is a new developer version of the Fritz-Plugin waiting for you. If nothing unexpected happens, this is going to start the new stable branch 1.2. Changes: 2009-05-12: Version 1.1.6 - changes in libfritz++ * Removed the default of countryCode = "49" if Tools::GetLocationSettings() fails. This task is handed over to the caller, see next. * Added new parameters to Config::Setup() to give default values for countryCode and regionCode. The default parameters are used, when auto-detection in Tools::GetLocationSettings() fails. The new parameter locationSettingsDetected indicates whether auto-detection was successful. In this case, the given default values are overwritten to give the caller access to the new values. * Fixed naming of local phonebook. The recommended name is now localphonebook.csv, the old name localfonbuch.csv is still accepted. The directory remains $vdrconfigdir/plugins/fritzbox/. - added new setup options for country code and region code. If the plugin is unable to detect these automatically (e.g., with some older Fritz!Boxes) the values are taken from these setup options. Could somebody post a working reccmds.conf I want to convert a .ts recording to .avi (xvid) so I have added a line to reccmds.conf like this: Convert to AVI : ffmpeg -r 29.97 -croptop 58 -cropbottom 62 -vcodec libxvid -vtag XVID -s 640x272 -aspect 2.35 -maxrate 1800k -b 1500k -qmin 3 -qmax 5 -bufsize 4096 -mbd 2 -bf 2 -flags +4mv -cmp 2 -subcmp 2 -g 300 -acodec libmp3lame -ar 48000 -ab 128k -ac 2 -async 1 -vsync 0 $1 $1.avi But it doesn't work. I have RTFM and google'd but I am no wiser as to the correct syntax Thanks in advance for any help with this issue

I agree wholeheartedly with Malcolm Caldwell. I have also read the manual (last night again to be precise) and still think the handling of the pause key is far from ideal. I think Timo's patch would be great. Nothing changes for those who think the current system is 100% perfect and two other settings for those who think otherwise - pause live video (default) - do not pause live video - confirm pause live video (this is what I would choose myself) Klaus, any chance this can make it to VDR 1.7.8 mainstream? Better than having a remote for me and another one for my wife and kids, or keeping my remote control in a safe or 'educating my little brats' or any other of those suggestions that invariably translate as 'Everything is fine with VDR's pause key and the problem is only with the user'
