[PATCH] add dummy osd to vdr plugin dummydevice

Hi Petri, hello list, https://github.com/flensrocker/vdr-plugin-dummydevice/tarball/v-osd0 I added a dummy osd to the dummydevice to avoid messages from vdr like "ERROR: no OSD provider available - using dummy OSD!" It's useful for headless server mode without any other OSD provider. Thanks for yor plugin! Regards, Lars.

Pausing live video with xineliboutput

Hi, Most of my vdr/xineliboutput/vdr-sxfe setup works well, except for pausing live tv. When the pause button is pressed there is quite a long pause before the video and audio are stopped - 5 seconds is typical. Once paused, pressing Play does nothing, and eventually it looks like vdr-sxfe restarts itself and writes messages like this: Connection to server lost. Reconnecting after two seconds... What are recommended versions for a dxr3 setup ?

I got a dvb card, installed it in my vdr box and it didn't work. So I decided to compile the driver, but alas, I had accidentially deleted the kernel compile tree. So it seems it's time to upgrade everyting: kernel, vdr, dxr3 driver and dxr3plugin. But what are the recommended versions at the moment? What is the latest kernel that dxr3 driver works on? timerconflict handling between VPS events

hi list I noticed vdr 1.7.16 does handle timer conflicts differently if one of two conflicting timers is a VPS event. Take for example two timers: timer #1 1623-1707 with timer priority 48 timer #2 1655-1736 with timer priority 52 If both timers are *NOT* VPS events vdr does follow the timer priority, thus the change from timer #1 to timer #2 will happen @16:55 precisely. Abandoned project: Streamdev widget for Samsung TV

Hi, a while ago some guy started to implement a widget for Samsung TVs to access streamdev via HTTP (http://projects.vdr-developer.org/issues/545). Unfortunately there hasn't been any progress recently and he doesn't reply to mails either. Maybe someone with a Samsung TV is willing to take over? I take the streamdev part, so all it takes is some basic JavaScript knowledge, the SDK from http://www.samsungdforum.com/ and of course a capable Samsung TV ;) Regards, Frank

Hi, I am getting many messages like: [ 7670.778582] vdr[25439]: segfault at cf ip 000000cf sp bfbd84d0 error 4 in vdr[8048000+14a000] [ 7676.543699] vdr[25472]: segfault at cf ip 000000cf sp bf8a2300 error 4 in vdr[8048000+14a000] [ 7682.351004] vdr[25518]: segfault at cf ip 000000cf sp bf8303d0 error 4 in vdr[8048000+14a000] in dmesg What can I do to find out the offending plugin?

Can VDR Live name recordings according to title?

Is it possible to have VDR Live name it's recordings according to the title of the show? For example, I'd love to see recordings named like this: <Show Name> - <Episode Name>.ts (ie. "The King of Queens - Name of Episode.ts")

Hi, Can somebody recommend a cheap usb or serial remote control for a VDR dedicated box (with kernel 3.x installed) The VDR box has just xine+vdr running, no XBMC, DVD playback or other fancy stuff I am based in Germany Regards, Art

DVB-T2 tuning

Hi, I'm assuming that VDR-1.7.x can tune into DVB-T2 channels, but it seems that Fedora 16 will still be using VDR-1.6.x. This is probably because VDR-1.7 is a development version, but I'd like to be able to use my PCTV 290e adapter in Fedora. So it looks like the DVB-T2 tuning parameters (QAM_256 support?) are going to need patching from 1.7 into 1.6. Can anyone point out the relevant code, please? I suspect that asking first will be faster... ;-). Thanks, Chris
