Release 0.1.0 of vdr-plugin-targavfd

Hello, A new release of vdr-plugin-targavfd This is a plugin for the Video Disc Recorder and shows information about the current state of VDR on a USB Graphic Vacuum Fluorescent Display (Futaba MDM166A). This Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) build into some Targa computer series. The display offers a graphical area with 96x16 pixels and a small set of symbols, each of the symbols can be controlled. More details at: http://projects.vdr-developer.org/wiki/plg-targavfd Core feature: * native integration, to show VDR states * use freetype fonts * UTF-8 support Changes: * Drop dependency to libhid, now is libusb-1.0 used * Wrong time on playback of HD recordings (Bug #517) * Ignore empty subtitle on replay (Feature #484) Please report any bugs, ideas or feature requests to the project site If you want to contribute patches, new features or whatever, post an issue or patch to the projects issue tracker or request to join the project. wrong index/info in HD 1080i recordings since with 1.7.18

hi Klaus i have the following problem, i've updated my vdr server from 1.7.16 to the new version 1.7.18. If i record "Sky Cinema" or any other Sky HD channel the information for frames per second in info file is different to 1.7.16 (ok you changed this behavior in 1.7.17) Sky HD recording (1080i) - original index and info with "F 50" line. Cutting marks can be moved, but output isn't refreshed. Fast forward/backward works without artifacts. - recreate index (1.7.18) with "F 25"/"F 50" in info and without info, works same index file as with 1.7.16. cutting marks can be moved. Fast forward/backward works without artifacts. Generated index has half of size then orginal one. HD with 720p like "Das Erste HD" or "ZDF HD" is ok. With old recordings from 1.7.16 i have to regenerate index file as you described in HISTORY file. cu Gerald

dvb-s(2) NumProvidedSystems() vs reelchannelscan

Hi! There seems to be a change in recent vdr versions regarding NumProvidedSystems() which at least the reelchannelscan plugin uses to tell apart a dvb-s2 tuner from a dvb-s one in a few places, apparently it used to return 2 for a dvb-s2 tuner and now returns 3. Is this intentional? I patched reelchannelscan like below: (would need to check the vdr version to be general of course, this was for 1.7.18; symptom was a manual scan wrote out qam32 modulation into the channels.conf instead of qpsk and of course vdr couldn't tune the new channel(s).) sequence of messages in xgettext/msgmerge

I'm just trying to build VDR on openSUSE 11.4, which comes with xgettext/msgmerge version 0.18.1. For some odd reason, when doing make i18n the sequence of the messages in the *.po files is completely different than before, which would cause a huge and unnecessary diff in the next developer version of VDR. Does anybody know if the gettext-tools have been broken at some point? Is there a way to get the previous sequence of messages back? Klaus

VDR on mipsel STB VU+ Duo

I've got dvbufs9xx plugin from http://gitorious.org/~willi68/open-duckbox-project-sh4/tdt-openwrt/blobs/ma… with small modifications to run video/audio on a mipsel based stb. OSD is even working with PearlHD and lowlevel anthra. Good luck.

Small fix for GCC 4.6 issue

gcc once again became a little bit more strict about the C++ standard, so the skincurses plugin will not compile anymore. 8.5/9 of the C++ standard says "If no initializer is specified for an object, and the object is of (possibly cv-qualified) nonPOD class type (or array thereof), the object shall be default-initialized; if the object is of const-qualified type, the underlying class type shall have a user-declared default constructor. Otherwise, if no initializer is specified for an object, the object and its sub-objects, if any, have an indeterminate initial value; if the object or any of its sub-objects are of const-qualified type, the program is ill-formed." Adding an initializer solves this issue. Please see the attached patch. Thx, Tobias
