HDHomerun and streamdev

I have just added an HDHomerun to my setup. This is a network tuner, which plugs into VDR with the hdhomerun plugin. VDR picks it up as another ATSC tuner and the same channels.conf works with it as with my ATSC tuners. However, I noticed streamdev doesn't work with it, to either another remote VDR server or VLC. If I turn off the plugin and use the ATSC cards it works again. Not much in the way of useful log info (Ie, nothing..) Rob

Ring buffer overflows with streamdev and remux script

[Patch] MAXCAIDS size increase

Hi, On the channel MTV Live HD (S19.2) we reach the limitation of MAXCAIDS. This channel currently provides 9 conditional access ids. (MAXCAIDS is define to 8). To ensure that all users can access(decrypt) this channel, it's necessary to increase this size. it's the aim of the patch in attach file. strcmp() segfaults if one (and only one) of the parameters is NULL ?

Hi, strcmp() returns 0 if both are parameters NULL, but segfaults if one of the parameters is NULL. Is this a known behaviour ? man page says nothing about NULL parameters. I ask because, vdr checks for NULL parameter(s) to strcmp() sometimes. ATSC Channel frequency crashing VDR

Hi Guys, I have two ATSC adapter. On one I scan my channels, create my channels.conf file (via a convoluted script), the channels work on that laptop using 1.6. I make a couple of edits to allow it to work on 1.7.12, but a particular frequency causes VDR to crash and get restarted by the watchdog.. The offending frequency is 567000, It's a Qam256 ATSC Cable frequency. I have an HVR1850 PCI-E adapter. Unfortunetly, it's the mux with all my local SD channels, although I can watch the HD ones, two channels don't have HD versions.. I can't see anything in dmesg or the vdr log which causes a problem. As an aside, a scan using w_scan to create a kaffeine channels.conf file on that adapter, doesn't find anything on that frequency. Am I getting interference from something? Any ideas?

TT S2-6400 - high bandwidthperformance.

The original AV711X based "full featured", DVB-S cards have a well known internal bandwidth limitation, that could be addressed by performing the "budget patch" modification to the card. Does anyone know if the same or similar limitation applies to the new S2-6400 card - better, worse or similar performance? Regards, Richard

vdr-1.7.18 with S2-6400 OSD oops

I'm getting a repeated (but not frequent or reproducible) oops that occurs when the OSD is already displayed and I do more OSD operations (quickly?). Recently the oopses have been written to syslog (because of some of the newer patches or firmware?) and I have attached one. This is my current set-up (I have had these oops all my time with the S2-6400 but this matches the attachment). Apologies if the problem is because of the way I have got things working.
