femon plugin doesn't work "ERROR (femonosd.c, 504): Function not implemented"

I tried going from 1.7.8 to 1.7.9 and I have no audio with .9

I increased the height to 84% and the error message disappeared. But now I got no display of the transponder and stream information - only the title. After setting width to 81% and height to 87% everything worked. Why is it not possible to show all femon OSD content with the vdr default OSD size? I don't remember that I had to change the OSD size with earlier vdr/plugin versions.

Loosing tuners

I thought this was because of the priority patch for better maping of timers to tuners, but I have removed that patch and still loose a tuner. Using vdr-1.7.8 (for some reason I have no sound with 179), after there have been timer records, one of the tuners in a dual tuner card, mostly the second no longer seems to work. If I use femon to switch between tuners on the currnt channel, it's as if it has no antenna connected even though the card only has 1 input. It is not a driver problem because I only have to restart vdr, not the drivers to fix it. It seems to work again until a timer record has gone off. It also doesn't always happen. Some times both tuners still work after a timer which is why I thought it was the patch.

automatic VDR restart when pressing Record key

Hi all, when i'm on the main OSD menu and i wanna do an instant recording i press the Red key (Record) and the system automatically restart VDR and when it finish to came up the recording is not started so i need to redo again the say me tasks. What is extrange that this behaviour happens with programmed timers too. Anyone of you had this problem in past? My system is using Arch Linux with kernel 2.6.25, VDR 1.6.0-2 with Extension Patch and near 70 plugins. I attach my runvdr for more info. My suspect is NOAD scripts running before and after recording but i tried to remove the row in the config file without success. timer set in a different channel than current

Hi all, it's a long time i'm this problem and i don't know how to solve: when i'm on a channel (ie. ORD) and i wanna set a timer of a different channel (ie. Eurosport) i can't move between channel list inside the timer OSD menu. Is this normal? I remember with VDR 1.4.7 was running but now with 1.6.0-2 there is no way. Maybe this behaviour is related with Extension Patch? If yes, is there a patch to fix it? My system is Arch Linux with kernel 2.6.25, VDR 1.6.0-2 with Extension Patch v. 62. FRC - RGB/Scart with the Intel 830 driver

Question for Thomas I guess... I'm in the process of setting up a PVR and just came across the FRC project which looks very interesting! One query I have though is the re. the restriction on the resolutions available. If I'm reading the patches correctly it seems that the ATI chips can currently do 720x576 only, where the Intel chips can be configured for 1440x576 and 1600x1200 only. The Intel driver has been patched to allow a 12MHz dot clock - is it in fact capable of supporting 720x576 interlaced? If so is there a hardware limitation preventing the FRC syncing working at this resolution? (I ask as I'm planning to use a Mini-ITX Atom board with a GMA950 to be hooked up to a standard-def TV. How do I listen to a channel's soundtrack and it's audio description at the same time?

Hi everyone. I've recently joined this list and am totally blind. I've installed VDR and am using the vdr-softdevice plugin with SHM output under the Gnome desktop. I would very much like to be able to hear a tv programme's soundtrack, together with the programme's audio description, when supported of course. One member of this list very helpfully suggested that, to switch between the programme's main sound track and the audio description track, I can hit the 'Audio' key, then the right cursor key and then the 'Audio' key again. This does, indeed switch from the main programme sound track to the audio description track, but it only lets me hear one or the other, not both. I would very much like to hear the main programme's soundtrack and the audio description track at the same time, but at the moment, I can only hear one or the other - not both. If anyone on this list could explain how to hear both the programme's soundtrack and the audio description track at the same time, I'd really appreciate it. Many thanks for any help. John
