forgot name of a patch....

I'm rebuilding my vdr station. I saved all my old stuff an a notebook that has been stolen.... There was a patch that permitted to add new channels on different parts of a channel list according to satellite-terrestrial/tv-radio/pay-free Do you remember about this patch ? (or has it been included in 1.4.... ?) Thank you, Francesco

Rotor plugin crashing with valid data in diseqc.conf

Built a new system with an Athlon64 x2 running and64 linux. I went with vdr-1.5.9. I tried to use the diseqc.conf from my old system, but vdr crashes in startup when the rotor plugin is used. I found the problem seems to be the use of commands to control the rotor in the diseqc.conf. with [E0 31 6B 26] and rotor plugin, vdr crashes at startup. remove ether the rotor plugin or all [E0 31 6B xx] entries and it starts. I used the vdr-1.5.5 patch in the patches folder of rotor. [ANNOUNCE] DVB-S2 + H.264 support for VDR-1.5.9

Hi, as both support patches interfere with each other, I've attached a merged patch which contains all my patches posted in the thread "[ANNOUNCE] H.264 updates for VDR-1.5.9". DVB-S2 support was kindly contributed to me by Marco Schluessler -- thanks a lot! WARNING 1: after adding DVB-S2 support to VDR, it will nolonger compile with "standard" DVB drivers. You'll definitely need Manu Abraham's DVB repository. WARNING 2: some API changes still have not been ported to the drivers for DVB-S hardware so you'll most likely only be able to use hardware with DVB-S2 support. In other words: tuning doesn't work for e. g. a NOVA-S while it works for example for a TT S2 3200. WARNING 3: the driver is still BETA. Don't use it in a productive environment as tuning and reception issues may damage recordings. Keep in mind that FF cards cannot handle H.264 streams and my behave strange! IMPORTANT NOTE: don't tie up Manu's or Marco's resources by sending unqualified support requests. This release is mainly intended for developers. The plugin can automatically mute or pause VDR when a call comes in. Via VDR's main menu you can browse your Fritz!Box phone book and initiate calls out of it via the [OK]-button. Help of SVDRP commands

Hi, I noticed new SVDRP commands are limited to 9 characters. ./svdrpsend.pl help [...] 214-Plugin dummy v0.0.1 - Enter description for 'dummy' plugin 214- 123456789 [...] [...] static const char *HelpPages[] = { "12345678901234567890\n" " Print some stuff.", [...] I found MAXHELPTOPIC in the svdrp.c causing this limitation. But why? :) I don't see any reasons for this limitation. When calling the Plugin, this limit to 10 chars isn't implemented. At least there should be a hint in the PLUGIN.html on this abbreviation. Extrecmenu 0.13 fail to compile with vdr-1.5.6

I love Extrecmenu plugin, in fact I'll love to see all of its features on vanilla vdr. Prefermenu plugin ERROR: cOsd::SetAreas

Hello, I am using prefermenu-0.6.6 along with prefermenu-0.6.6-1.5.3.diff that was posted a while back on this list. When I try to use prefermenu with vdr-1.5.9, I get the following error: vdr: [4922] ERROR: cOsd::SetAreas returned 5 Would anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

Errorreturncode from Makefile possible?

Hi, I would love it, if the Makefile could give an errorcode if something went wrong. Normally I'm using "make plugins && ./runvdr" when testing plugins. But if the compile of one or many plugins failes, the makefile gives an OK, and vdr starts (with the old plugincode). Would be great if this could be changed. Torsten
