This happens in the UK on a DVB-T recording when interference in the stream is prominent. Yes, this fixes it here too - but is annoying to have to do. I have seen this problem reported before, but no-one seems to want to fix it or even admit there is a problem. IMHO whenever there is a glitch or issue with the video, there should be a mechanism to re-sync the video & audio - or this should just happen regularly (dropping frames etc) I'm hoping one day this problem will be addressed, as it is now really the only serious issue that I see with VDR. vdr-1.4.1 errors with radio recordings

Hello, I found this thread on vdrportal that describes my Problems with radio-recordings. http://www.vdr-portal.de/board/thread.php?goto=nextoldest&threadid=42435&si… If I use the left and right keys vdr skips between 4 and 6 minutes. Is this problem known? Thanks Halim

Bugfix: AddSchedule not replacing DummySchedule in channels

Hi, since 1.3.39 there's an issue with AddSchedule. If no initial EPG information is available for a channel, it will be associated with a DummySchedule. AddSchedule does not replace it when a schedule becomes available later. For example in cases where originally there was a commercial break before next scene but the broadcaster had joined scenes together, the audio problem appears. Rotor plugin and DiSEqC commands

I'm getting a rotor and it looks like the rotor plugin assumes it is the first device. Is it possible to put the motor on an unused port so as to have 1 less insertion loss? I will be using a switch for the 2 in 1 lnb and there will be extra unused ports. Also I plan to have a stationary dish also. I found information on controling 1 switch, but nothing about stacking them. How do you control which switch gets a given command in a string of commands?

The SPDIF-Signal comes from J2 and goes to a Marantz SR6300. All Dolby material (DTS/DD/AC3) i've found yet works flawlessly (only small problem is the slow switch of the receiver when the signal) in VDR, mplayer[-plugin] and dvd[-switch]-plugin. So, have you tested the most current driver and firmware for your FF card? current FW: http://www.suse.de/~werner/test_av-f22623.tar.bz2 > Does using the bitstreamout plugin help in any way? MPlayer and Streamdev - sometimes "Stream not seekable!"

Hi, What is the reason that sometimes mplayer v1.0pre8-4.0.2 and streamdev (cvs from 2006-06-30) fails to show picture with sound. Complains about: Stream not seekable! And stops there. This happens with PES. With TS the sound gets through but the video is jerky (complains also about "Stream not seekable!"). Strange thing is that sometimes (most likely someway dependent on the broadcast) the same "Stream not seekable!" error comes but video and sound comes through. Any idea from where to start looking for the reason for this? Oh, mplayer from console works like above. gmlayer fails to play audio at all despite what configuration changes I make. Br, Pasi

[OT] SPDIF and AC3

Hi list. I'm trying to get DD/AC3 *properly* working with vdr and my reciever a Marantz SR5600. PCM works ok right out of the FF card and my A/V Reciever decodes PCM basically OK. However I've found when playing a DVD encoded with DD in a DVD player the reciever properly finds out that the PCM is encoded with DD and makes settings accordingly. Does the SPDIF stream of the FF card miss some headers to make this work? (Of course the transmission needs to be DD encoded.) Does using the bitstreamout plugin help in any way? BR /t
