Hi list, when recently recording and burning some music programs via VDR and the burn plugin I wondered if it would be possible to interprete remaining recording marks as DVD chapters. I tried an extended version of the plugin which I found somewhere in the vdr-portal. As far as I could see chapters are neither supported nor in plan. ERROR: Channel locked (recording)! and friends

Hello! I am a newbie needing some help with getting vdr to work. The machine is an athlon 1.4 GHz with a technotrend budget dvb-c card. Its running gentoo with 2.6.12 and the dvb-drivers from that kernel compiled as modules. The PC has no monitor attached, I just want to record tv-shows and stream them with the streamdev-plugin. I installed the femon-plugin to check the signl strength, but it seems the plugin works only with the OSD, and I have no monitor on that machine. My questions are: - What does "ERROR: Channel locked (recording)!" mean? There are no other instances of vdr, czap or others running at that time. What can I do? - Does "ERROR: video data stream broken" mean the signal is too weak, or could it have different reasons? czap's snr makes me believe reception is NOT the problem. - If I understood correctly, the streamdev-server just streams the whole mpeg stream over the lan. OSD commands timing out

these timeouts are ignored by vdr, cDvbOsd::Cmd(). The return value of ioctl() is not checked. under heavy load, timeouts may and will happen. shouldn't vdr either abort the operation or retry? -- Wolfgang

channel change when scheduled?

Hello! I was wondering if there's a plugin for vdr which allows me to schedule programs to vdr? I don't want to record, I just want that when program starts at "channel 1" vdr could automatically change channel. Thanks -Jere-

LIRC and /dev/input/event2 together

Can I use /dev/input/event2 with LIRC? If so, can I use irexec (with lirc) to macro some system calls while the remote plugin (under VDR) is already running? I guess I'm asking, can LIRC and the remote plugin work simultaneously? I have a Happauge Nova-T with the card-connected IR receiver... Thanks Simon

Thanks for your reponse and my best compliments for your plugin is excellent. I've tried with radio-vdr but seems to do nothing...plugin start up but no image appear and "no signal" is present...maybe the problem is with the image .mpg but i dont know how procede. Anyone has tested this plugin and can i help me ? dvd plugin

I've just installed this and the control for dvd navigation is great. 2 problems though. 1) I get no sound! ?? 2) I was testing FF and REW and it locked up VDR and the DVB driver - had to reboot. any ideas?

xine plugin how to cancel "No signal"

Hi all, sorry for my request but i have a question about vdr xine plugin:i want to cancel the screen "No Signal" (or change it with a jpg picture) during reproduction of satellite radio. The "No signal" splash screen generate confusion and i want subsitute it with a jpg. lcdproc plugin

Is version 0.0.10 of lcdproc plugin supposed to work with vdr 1.3.27 ? I just get segmentation errors when trying to load lcdprog plugin. Without it vdr works just fine, other plugins in use are femon, remote, dvbsubs and ttxtsubs. vdr is patched for subs.
