Run it directly as vdr and see what happens. Runvdr is only supposed to be used once you've got everything working and is supposed to handle restarting after a vdr crash. I never found it very good and instead use runit (http://smarden.org/runit/) which is much more reliable. But don't even worry about that until you've got it running manually. I started writing a guide to setting up vdr on Debian SID, but unfortunately it's only really a list of (too specific) commands. Which patch do I need for 1.3.26 and xine ?

Hello, I am on the point of compiling 1.3.26. I really like to have the lenght of the reccording, unfortunately I don't know how to take it from enAIO so I patch the whole wih http://users.tkk.fi/~rahrenbe/vdr/vdr-1.3.26-enAIO-2.3.diff.gz even if it's the only thing I want from this patch. What are still needed in order to use xine-plugin with this release ? I know I should patch with one of the osdbase fix (not sure of which one I should take...) and maybe some others from http://home.vrweb.de/~rnissl/ ? Thank you very much, -- Gr\'egoire Favre

EPG scan on single card system

Hi! I messed around the whole evening trying to get EPG scan to work on my vdr. I have a freshly installed vdr 1.3.27, single FF-card... no patches, just the plugins: femon, graphlcd, epgsearch Triggering EPG scan with "svdrpsend.pl SCAN" seems fine (writes something like "EPG scan triggered"), but nothing happens. Triggering via the red button in the EPG menu does nothing either. I have something in mind that I read that it didn't work on previous versions and that Klaus said, that he has changed (or will change) something to make it work again... has this been changed yet? DVB-T and channels.conf

Hello recently i already reported about a wiered problem VDR generates 2 channels.conf entries for every DVB-T channel. Example: VOX;RTL World:666000:I0C23D0M16B8T8G8Y0:T:27500:545:546=deu:551:0:16418:8468:8706:0 VOX;RTL World:666000:I0C23D0M16B8T8G8Y0:T:27500:0:0:0:0:16418:8468:2818:0 I would not care about it, but i get the EPG infos only on the second entry. But there is no video. Why does EGP get not infos at the first entry, which looks much less broken that the second? mp3/mplayer plugin with xineplayer

I'm using the mp3/mplayer plugin to play .avi clips though VDR, with 'mplayer.sh' modified to call xineplayer (as I'm already using vdr-xine as a soft device) What I want to be able to do is PAUSE, FF and RW the clips - and even maybe MARK (so when I play the clip again, it starts where I left off). How can I do this? At the moment, all I can do is start playing and stop playing - no other controls at all. I understand if I use the plugin with MPLAYER (in slave mode) I could do this, but I want to do it with XINEPLAYER. any ideas?

Playing .avi .mpg files from VDR-Xine

Hi group. I have a collection of media I'd like to play from the VDR interface under Xine. Does anyone know of a plugin that will let VDR browse playlists, play/pause/ff/rw through .avi files? I know I can use Xine for this, but I want to control it all from the remote and the key mappings don't share between VDR and Xine well! Thanks Simon

A difference b/n vdr-1.3.26-enAIO-2.3.diff and vdr-1.3.27-enAIO-2.3.diff

Starting with vdr-1.3.26, the recording date in VDR uses DD-MM-YY, instead of just DD-MM. When I compare the latest enAIO patch for vdr-1.3.27 with the previous patch for vdr-1.3.26, it looks like the array has gone back to the original size of 6. can not comile burn plugin with vdr-1.3.27

Hi, Yesterday I tried to update my vdr to the last Developer version 1.3.27. The burn plugin doesn't compile: jobs.c: In constructor `cBurnRecording::cBurnRecording(cRecording*, long int)': jobs.c:26: error: `Summary' undeclared (first use this function) I think this is after vdr-1.3.25 changes in recording.c. Does someone work on this. Thanks Halim .
