Keymacros to access to a menu entry

Hello! I've been trying to create a keymacro to access to restart option of vdr menu with a single button defined to my remote control (User1). I read man vdr (5) and I configured my keymacros.conf file but it didn't work when I use vdr. Then, I tried to do a keymacro to a plugin that seems easier but it didn't work. Here I put the lines I tried: To menu entry: User1 Menu Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Ok Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Ok Ok User1 @Restart Menu Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Ok Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Down Ok Ok To femon plugin: User1 [@femon] Menu Down Down Down Down Down Ok User1 @femon User1 @femon Menu Down Down Down Down Down Ok None of these works. Can someone tell me if these lines are correct? If they are, can someone say why they don't work? Any idea would be wellcomed. boot times

I see on the WIKI people have posted boot times, as low as 15 seconds. My boot time is terrible - haven't timed it, but would imagine it has to be 180 seconds plus. I am still running udev (FC3), which seems to take a large amount of time. I'm sure I could probably strip out some of the other processes (like the NTP sync - why is that run at start up!! Surely it should happen in parallel, not sequentially) Has anyone done a strip-down checklist of the things that must and must not be started? Any tuning recommendations?

[PATCH] time warp

Hi all, I use the nice "set system time" feature of vdr. But sometimes vdr seems to read gabage time from DVB, jumps through the time and miss out timers. Using VDR with more than one DVB card?

I've been using VDR for a long time with one DVB-C card. Now I've added a second, identical card (Technotrend DVB-C 2.1). I get a picture, but it's of very low quality and breaking up all the time. Do I have to do something special to get this setup to work properly? Suggestions? EPG on Travelchannel

Hi! With vdr 1.3.27 Travelchannel behaves a little bit strange. Each time I tune to this channel, the CA becomes 3331 and the channel becomes unavailable. Dolby digital - recording and DVD plugin

Hi, i checked the documentation now and i found, if i set Use Dolby Digital to no, no dolby digital audio is recorded anymore. But to see a dvd with DD without DD equipment, it seems that i need to disable it. Is it possible to record movies with DD, but dont replay it with DD? (maybe a new option in VDR?) -- Bye Matthias

VDR developer version 1.3.26 is now available at ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.3.26.tar.bz2 A 'diff' against the previous version is available at ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.3.25-26.diff The changes since version 1.3.25: - Updated the Estonian OSD texts (thanks to Arthur Konovalov). - Updated the Finnish OSD texts (thanks to Rolf Ahrenberg). - Fixed handling 'summary.vdr' files with more than two empty lines (thanks to Christian Jacobsen for reporting this one). - Improved resetting CAM connections (thanks to Marco Schlüßler). - Implemented cVideoRepacker in remux.c to make sure every PES packet contains only data from one frame (thanks to Reinhard Nissl). The DVB driver I am currently using can be found at ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/linux-dvb.2004-12-26.tar.bz2 which is the CVS 'HEAD' version from 2004-12-26, made available as a complete archive for your convenience.
