streamdev-client -- doesn't connect to streamdev-server

Hi, on my client (no dvb-device) I have compiled latest vdr (1.3.33) with streamdev plugin (cvs) , and xine plugin. When I start VDR, it says "channel not available". in the setup menu i set "start client" to yes, set IP to the server, and port. I think the server-VDR runs just fine, there is a ff dvb card, also latest vdr with streamdev-server plugin. both VDRs have the same config files (like channels.conf). streamdevhosts.conf is configured to the clients IP adress. So I think everyting should be set up just fine. But I always get "channel not available" on the client. (using skincurses plugin). Xine can connect to client-VDR, but shows just the "no-signal" sceen. So any ideas? Thanks a lot! Thomas

[PATCH] vdrconvert and /dev/stdout

I just noticed that if the cvs of vdrconvert is unable to write to /dev/stdout, then dvdauthor fails. Attached is a patch. Regards,

But I still get the error when I use not more than 4 colors for these 6 items. Maybere there are more items? And does this mean, that the max. of 4 colors is related to **all** items which can appear in **any** menu page within the central area? Or in other words: When I press the menu button the first time, the main menu apperas. There I can`t see any cyan color; it seems to be used in other menu pages (like program/epg). Nevertheless, the error message apperars immidiately, before I use a menu page where cyan is used.

SourceCaps patch for VDR 1.3.33.

The attached patch allows a VDR system with multiple cards to attach each card to an individual dish pointing at a different satellite. I have 3 DVB cards in my VDR system: 1) FF card connected to one output of LNB at a dish pointed at Astra 19.2E. 2) budget card connected to another output of LNB at a dish pointed at Astra 19.2E. 3) budget card connected to output of LNB at a dish pointed at Eutelsat 13.0E. I am using the following entries for that in my setup.conf: SourceCaps = 1 S19.2E SourceCaps = 2 S19.2E SourceCaps = 3 S13.0E

mhp in spain dvb-t

Hi!, Anyone has tested VDR with mhp support in spanish dvb-t channels. I know that TV3 has mhp services but before I try it I would know if someone have it working. What plugin you recommend for mhp? mhp or openmhp? Thanks

max. colors in OSD ?

There are several themes for the sttng-skin (cool, blue ...) which all give errors in the log ("too many different colors used in palette") . I want to create an own theme without this error :-) What I learned is, that the "central area" of the osd menu is limited to 4 colors (cards with 2MB). The buttons below (red, green, yellow, blue) seem to be a different area. So how do I count the colors in the central area? For example, the default sttng theme seems to have only **two** colors in the main menu: -yellow (FFFCC024) -black (7F000000 for background and FF000000) When I change the Background to another color, the above mentioned error message appears immidiately when i open the main menu. So it seems that 000000 counts as one color, no matter which value I use for transparency, right? If so, which is the third and fourth color in the central area of the main menu?

Failure with vdr-1.3.32 cAudioRepacker

Hello Yesterday I switched to vdr-1.3.32. All seemed to work fine, but when I controlled the recording I had some dropouts. Inspection of /var/log/messages showed: cAudioRepacker(0xC0): skipped 1468 bytes while syncing on next audio frame cAudioRepacker(0xC0): skipped 832 bytes while syncing on next audio frame cAudioRepacker(0xC0): skipped 1468 bytes while syncing on next audio frame cAudioRepacker(0xC0): skipped 832 bytes while syncing on next audio frame cAudioRepacker(0xC0): skipped 4 bytes to sync on next audio frame cAudioRepacker(0xC0): skipped 4 bytes to sync on next audio frame I have no plugins - just plain vanilla vdr.
