ATSC with xine-vdpau frame drops

I havd vdr-1.7.5, xine-vdpau r260, vdr-xine .91. Runing on a Athlon64 x2 and Asus en8400gs silent video card. I have a FusionHDTV7 Dual Express in it currently. I am having problems figureing out the proper settings in all the config files. I am getting droped frames, sometimes high enough to cause the popup box. Does it with any of the deint options. Currently I just have both ports going to standard computer monitors. First I thought it was the tunner over heating because when it first happened, vdr would not respond to remote and the card was hot. I added heat sinks to the 3 main chips with thermal tape and put an 80mm fan over the card. It is now midly warm but video still locks at times. I can run all night or it can lock within an hour. Howto set dvb capability in vdr

My dvb-t usb device (TwinhanDTV USB-Ter USB1.1 / Magic Box I / HAMA USB1.1) works well with vdr 1.6.0-2, but it can't handle more than one channel at once properly. If I record a channel and tune to a second channel on the same frequency, this will cause artefacts in the recording or in live display of the second channel. Ok more detalies. vdr-1.7.6 vdr-xine-1.9.1 on an gentoo distro and i start xine from .xinitrc like this: /usr/bin/xine -V vdpau -f -pq -A alsa --post vdr_video --post vdr_audio vdr://tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes and for mplayer ihave this on mplayer.sh #!/bin/sh CMDLINE="mplayer -fs -vo vdpau -ao alsa -cache 4096 -slave -nolirc -quiet" DISPLAY=:0.0 $CMDLINE "$1" |logger exit but I have an question for others too! how to make mplayer to load subtitles from media or video directory?

Hi, I found the error. With IPTV you must define the type of stream in channels.conf In my channels.conf I wrote TF1;IPTV:1:IPTV|S0P0|UDP|232.0.1.17|8200:P:0:1217=2:1317:0:0:1:0:0:0 where VPID = 1217 and stream type = 2. If i change stream type with 27 (0x1B in Hexa). Record works fine. vdr and vdpau

I have installed an nvidia driver with vpdau support, patched xine-lib1.2 with the vpdau patch, and recompiled xine-ui I have improvement with HD channels cpu utilization wise but still choppy image. Do I need to patch vdr itself or change some config options to optimize the speed? nvidia 8200 on-board

I'm in a half way stage with VDR and h264. I didn't want the multipro drivers, but wanted to get a few HD channels working with vdpau. I have VDR working with BBC HD almost, and Sky HD +24 and a few others, however, BBC doesn't seem to display properly, as well as having problems with the audio selection. It looks like it has macrovision protection or something like that.. (Using vdr-sxfe and xine-libs with h264 support). As I said, other channels seem to work.
