The V4L/DVB mailinglist are infact not used any more for patches (and a global statement was made to send those patches to the linux-media mailinglist) and I haven't seen any of the developers being active on it for some time. Full information was made in early January I believe. More information is available on the Linuxtv.org frontpage [1]. EPG problem

The on-screen EPG display (that appears as you switch channels or press OK while watching) is always off by an hour or so. Computer's clock is correct, and EPG times are correct, and any recordings seems to work correctly as well, it's just that on-screen EPG always shows programmes from 1 hour ago. This might have started after recent switch to DST but I'm not sure. VDR 1.7.4, Ubuntu 9 Peter

OT: Germany/IPTV: Watching private stations on PC?

Dear everyone, some German providers offer IPTV. Public stations are broadcasted using DVB IPTV/multicast(?) [1][2] and I can watch them using a special port of the provided modem and for example mplayer. Do you know if it is possible to watch also private stations on the computer? Using the provided Set-Top-Box and a smartcard(?) it is possible to watch those and even stream movies from a videothek. I did not find any information or tutorials on the Web. The thought behind this is, if I could not do this, if it would be useful to build a PVR with vdr, if I was not able to play those stations¹. One way solution would be to use DVB-T. But I would like to circumvent that. Thanks in advance, Paul ¹ Sure, it still has advantages like the possibility to surf the Web and to set up everything to my need. OK!! thankyou all, I got it working and I made a patch too. patch is for plugin dvd -> dvd-cvs-20071113 orking on vdr-1.7.4

Hy all, I'm trayng to compile dvd plugin but it fails! this is build log http://pastebin.com/m67dab49c. i tested it with vdr-1.7.4, gcc-4.3.3, x86 Can some one help me, ?I think is something with gcc.

OK! i seeit now, it is from vdr switching to ts or watever, with vdr-1.7.0 it works. But i dont know how to fix it.

Hy, here is greep result http://pastebin.com/m28e05080, and the it shoul be "DEFAULTFRAMESPERSECOND" ? in player-dvd.c. But is there an it complains about not beeing declared to do so.. i dont know what!
