1.3 DVB-S FF and sc plugin

Hi, Is it possible to use this FF card with sc plugin and share card with Technisat budget DVB-S card. If it is posible is there some restrictions like not possible to receive whole mux with FF card ? Kim

I took them from Peter's site: http://mitglied.lycos.de/peterweber69/xine/xine.htm I have 2 versions of xine installed into separate directories, and there is of course a small change that I've forgot to update some path somewhere, but I've double checked them so many times that I don't think that could be the cause. I forgot to pipe VDR output to file, but for xine output see here: http://tvr.dy.fi/xine.log I started vdr, then started xine, went directly to a recording, started ff-rewind, waited few seconds until it got stuck, waited for some time (this time vdr didn't wake up, I may have pressed play couple more times), pressed finally q in xine to quit. I think SC as a CA module isn't illegal itself, because SC itself isn't sufficient to circumvent content protection (needs keys). But SC might have licensing problems if it uses patented technology to decrypt stream, for example Conax. And from that point it is illegal. If someone interprets that SC software is illegal because it can be used for emulating CA-module, then also RSA/DES/DSA/... -libraries would become illegal because they also can be used to decrypt the same data. Its a line drawn in water. Are Magic/Matrix/Joker CAs (what ever there are) illegal? They are ARM-boards, and into it you can load software which emulates multiple CA-systems, and you can insert a valid subscription card. And as we all know valid CA modules are software solutions also.. :-) They just embed StrongArm or similar processor. Of course there might be some card with custom crypto chip existing. Audio menu problems

Hi all, I have problems with the audio menu when playing a recording. When playing a recording from channels like Eurosport or Nickelodeon that have two audio tracks and two languaghes in each track the audio menu will only appear if i press the audio button immedialety after starting the replay. Sometimes the audio menu wont show until after several stop/start replay attempts. During normal viewing the audio menu pop up as expected. I am running vdr 1.3.23 on a system with Fedora Core 2. Any help is appreciated. Kind regards Anders

And I live in same region as previous example was (Tampere, Finland). And I can receive signals well with cheapo LNB's and, 4-in-1 switch, 30m cable and 2-in-1 intelligent receiver switch (which receiver is on, VDR or normal satellitebox). The main advantage of Gentoo: You are not forced to do a classical migration from version X to Y (eg. Suse 9.0 to 9.1). You can update your Linux whenever you want/need in whole or in part.
