Hello all, I ave a fully fonctionnal vdr-1.2.6 with dvb-kernel for kernel-2.4 and a RCU unit. I've some spare time, so I've decided to give vdr-1.3 a try. First, I'm installing kernel 2.6.12.5 instaed of 2.4.27: vdr-1.2.6 is always functionnal with 2.6. (and if I make a 'cat /dev/ttyS1', I can see the code from the remote when I'm pressing a key) so the problem is not from the RCU, the COM port or the driver of the port com. vdr-xine, no ac3 playback?

I recently purchased a reciever capable of ac3/dts decoding. I've been doing some testing and I now have the correct config in xine to dump ac3 streams directly through my sound card to my reciever. With watching dvd's in xine, I get an ac3 stream, however, when using vdr-xine (0.7.4) I only get PCM stereo. VDR EPG info shows the audio as being DD. Hi, I've been using subtitles and ttxtsub plugins together with pathces from http://users.tkk.fi/~rahrenbe/vdr/. For example for version 1.3.30 I am using: vdr-1.3.30-subtitles-0.3.8-and-ttxtsubs-0.0.5.diff.gz and vdr-1.3.30-enAIO-2.5.diff.gz The new problem is that when I'm watching a recorded show (that doesn't have subtitles; recorded from finnish MTV3), the ttxtsub plugins starts showing subtitles from some channel that was not even selected before starting the record playing. VDR-1.3.30: testing new cAudioRepacker

Hi, I'd like you to test the new cAudioRepacker which is contained in the attached patch. The patch also fixes some locations where VDR didn't handle MPEG1 streams properly. An additional patch for vdr-xine-0.7.5 will follow the next day(s), which fixes some MPEG1 issues in vdr-xine. [PATCH] Move new channels to separate radio and TV groups

Here is a patch to move newly added channels to separate radio/TV groups for every satellite position. It is based on an old patch that adds new channels to different groups based on the source (satellite position). New in this patch is that two groups are used for every satellite position: a radio group and a TV group. Because when a new channel is added, it's PIDs are still zero, you cannot differentiate between radio and TV channels at that time. Hi, I have a computer with 2 DVB cards, with 2 instances of VDR running. I now want to run a 3rd instance of VDR but with no DVB card, only to play recorded vdr files and the output is through a dxr3 card. Is this possible? Thanks. Monk

Hi there, I'm considering running 2 vdr instances on the same machine. Rather than using a set of different ports (svdrp, streamdev ports and xine+network ports) i would like to add a new option to specify the ip address to bind to. (rather than INADDR_ANY).
