dvb-ttpci warnning: timeout waiting in blitbitmap: 0, 1

Hello everyone, i have DVB-S Nexus, i already running VDR with linvdr, and everything working well, last day i try to install new system just i change the hardware, i have another old PC compaq desktop slim design p3 500. my other system which i get error is: compaq desktop slim design p3 500 ( builtin vga,sound,ethernet ), DVB-S Nexus, this is for hardware, software i try to install more than linux version, linvdr, ctvdr, kanotix, livevdr,...etc but everytime i get the same error : dvb-ttpci warnning: timeout waiting in blitbitmap: 0, 1 when i search for this error, i couldn't understand how to solve it, can anyone help in this ?

I have a Suse 10 installation, with VDR 1.3.37 with no patches but only a couple of plugins. Two cards, a Nexus FF sat card and a DVB-T card. Nexus firmware is the latest experimental on Suse site. If I issue a GRAB command the file I get is "empty", blue. in Jpeg it's only kb, in PNM is a bit more but it contains (apart the header) all the same char! The command I issue is: frank@linux:~> telnet localhost 2001 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. 220 linux SVDRP VideoDiskRecorder 1.3.37; Wed Mar 8 10:35:03 2006 grab image.pnm pnm 250 Grabbed image image.pnm pnm In the log I get: Mar 8 10:35:03 linux vdr[4379]: connect from 127.0.0.1, port 1992 - accepted Mar 8 10:35:21 linux vdr[4379]: grabbing to image.pnm (PNM 100 924 576) Mar 8 10:35:29 linux vdr[4379]: closing SVDRP connection I have no access to the console since the PC is 1500 km from me !!! tv getting black while epg-scan

hi, some days ago, i upgraded to the newest version of vdr, now i have the problem, that when epg-scan starts it shows a message on the tv and then the tv is getting black and nothing happens. when i press some button for changing the channel the picture comes back. do you have any idea? olli

Thanks for that, I will see when I get the time to compile VDR and the wanted/needed plugins. Among others I need o display the picture through X11 on my not that good VGA card (ProSavage8). I guess transferring the recorded programs from Myth is a nobrainer as hey are in MPG format now. Dag

Remote control and view of VDR (over network)

Hi, For a number of reasons, I want to keep my VDR computer in one room and view the VDR stream on a second computer which is hooked to the TV. Ideally, I'd have full-access to VDR on the second computer (EPG, pause live TV, etc, etc), as if I were on the VDR machine. Is there any plug-in/patches and programs that would give me this capability? I know of VOMP but I have no MediaMVP (the second computer should be fast enough to do this). I tried to launch vdr with softdevice and the display exported to the second computer (and I verified X programs launch, xclock appeared on second computer's display, etc) but I got a permissions error on the client: " X Error of failed request: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied) Major opcode of failed request: 149 (MIT-SHM) Minor opcode of failed request: 1 (X_ShmAttach) " I would really really appreciate any suggestions. At this point, it is not possible for me to hook the TV directly to the VDR computer. I know MythTV has this kind of capability but I would really like to avoid going down that route. Regards, CR.

vdr & softdevice problem.

Hello, I am using vdr-1.3.44 and softdevice 0.2.2 on a P4 with a TNT2 AGP video card, XOrg, using XOrg "nv" (nvidia) driver and XV extentions. When the softdevice window comes up, I can see the OSD/text for about 3-5 seconds and it disappears. If I move the the window around some, the text re-appears for a few seconds and then goes to black. I can push buttons (i.e. during the remote control config) and the display updates, but it goes to black and I'm forced to move the window around. I'm trying to get vdr going for the first time and it's tough not being able to look at the screen...ideas? CR.

Support for 8-VSB with Nova-T ??

Hi. I've just moved from the UK to the US. Anyone know if VDR or the Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T will support ATSC or 8-VSB modulation??? Thanks Simon

Feature Request: Use preferred audio language for playback of recordings

Hi Klaus! Could you implement this? When I setup VDR like this Audio language: French Audio language: Deutsch then during normal live tv zapping everything is in order (= I get French audio). But when I playback a recording I still have to switch manually in case the French track is track 1 and German is track 0. I think this would be nice to have.
